If you're looking for something chic and totally different, you've got to check out the cool creations coming from Parisian jewelry line F comme. We've never seen anything quite like this before, and we're loving it. A lot.
There's a modern Gothic storybook quality to these pieces, sort of like Alice in Wonderland meets Emily the Strange. That makes a lot of sense, considering that F comme's designer, Fanny Dolhain, worked as a graphic artist and an illustrator. Dolhain has always viewed herself as a sort of storyteller, expressing herself through her creations. Now she tells stories through her jewelry.
These silhouettes are neutral enough for almost any occasion, but the great lines and shapes ensure that you'll always stand out.
We say wear F comme to work. And then shake it up and sport F comme at a wedding, just to let people know there's more to you than crepe and tulle. Fanny Dolhain has her own ideas about where her pieces should be worn. She recommends the wolf howling at the moon (above) for a night of partying until daybreak, and the teacup and teapot (see first set of images) necklace for lunch with friends.
We agree in theory, but emphasize that F comme should really be worn everywhere.
No matter where you decide to wear these pieces, there is one undeniable truth: what you're getting here is a whole lot of original.
You know how these things work. To get your own pieces by Fanny Dolhain -- don't forget, they're customizable -- you can check out the F comme shop on Boticca. Be forewarned, though: the Boticca shop doesn't have the entire F comme collection.
If you want to see all of Dolhain's bracelets, necklaces and earrings, you'll have to head to her official website. The site is in en francais, but it's easy to navigate even if you don't speak French. (There's always Google Translate if you're completely terrified of conducting business in another language).
Don't forget to check out her Facebook page for the latest news and promo codes.
